You mean the rich and employed

This cartoon is a good example of US capitalism and social fascism's hypocritical and dishonest propaganda. A narrative built on demonstrable lies about both the nature of communism and the nature of capitalism. There are only two kinds of people who support capitalism, the rich, and the duped.

I miss the good old days, when some propaganda actually told the truth. This cartoon should be required viewing. If people had heeded the advice given in this cartoon, we wouldn't be in such a mess now.

For what it's worth, I am NOT part of any "tea party" organization, but to a point, there IS a bit of fear involved - the fear about the direction in which this country is headed, for example. Having said that, it seems that there are people out there who choose not to even so much as consider the possibility that what I said even so much as MIGHT be true (such people were even depicted in that cartoon, if you remember), such people are quick to describe the rest of us as "hatemongers", for example.

The Sutherland corporation always did solid work. Many of their finest shorts are available here on archive.org. I would give this cartoon a full 5 points for it's quality as animation, judged alongside Warners and Disney of the period.

I take away 2 points for the politically, economically and socially naive (or deliberately misleading) viewpoint on display in the film. And another point off for the fact that this animation from 1948, when UPA was just getting rolling, betrays no undercurrent of searching for new means, nor of dissatisfaction with the ancient assembly-line methods of Hollywood's entrenched animation factories.

Net out three points. Solid, but not that enjoyable to sit through.

Terrific cartoon. Fortunately, President Obama – working hand in hand with intelligent people everywhere – will unite to defeat the fear and hatemongering McCarthyism and Facism of the Tea Party movement.

O'bamma knows what he is doing. Destroying our republic with his "ISM" !!!

Remember he said: "Fundamentally change our country"!

I think this short subject should be sent to every member of congress, the white house staff, the President's cabinet, and Barrack Obama himself to make them realise where they live and what Ameria really is.
